KLRU participated in the annual KidsFest at Allison Elementary and five other local elementary schools: Brooke, Govalle, Ortega, Zavala and Metz. Cat in the Hat was the featured guest so that kids and families could get their picture taken with the iconic “cat.” Families were able to mark their favorite PBS KIDS show and complete a mapping activity from CAT IN THE HAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THAT!
Free PBS KIDS app cards with the new Cat in the Hat Builds That app along with 12 other apps were distributed to parents for kids from 2-8 years old. Stickers, tattos and information on KLRU’s 24/7 PBS KIDS channel were available.
